Data lifecycle and retention.

What the current product retains, why it may be needed, and which parts still require manual handling.

Effective 2026-07-14

Everest Nova uses purpose-based retention: information should be kept only while it serves the project, client access, security, accounting, contractual, dispute-resolution, or legal needs that apply to it. A single arbitrary period is not applied to every category.

Project files and deliverables

Uploads, working material, and deliverables are retained while needed to assess, prepare, review, and deliver the project and to provide the agreed client access. No automatic expiry or purge is currently enabled.

Account and project records

Account details, messages, classification records, scope decisions, and project history may be retained while the account or project is active and afterwards where needed for service support, contractual records, disputes, or legal obligations.

Orders, audit, and security records

Order status, payment-provider references, selected audit events, and security records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, service integrity, dispute resolution, and legal requirements. Raw payment-card numbers are not stored by Everest Nova.

Optional analytics

Website analytics events are collected only after analytics permission. The current system does not yet apply an automated analytics deletion schedule; permission can be withdrawn through Analytics settings in the footer.

Deletion and archival review

Clients can ask support@everestnova.ai to review account, project, or file deletion. Everest Nova must verify the requester, identify the relevant systems and records, and determine whether any information must be retained. Approved deletion is currently carried out through a manual administrative process.

Implementation status: a formal category-by-category disposal schedule, periodic retention review, and automated deletion enforcement remain production launch requirements. This page describes the current system; it does not imply that those controls are already automated.
